Dec. 15 – Hot Mitts!

Okay, this is one is kind of boring…I admit.  However, it might mean everything to the recipients. Recently I had some friends that I joined for dinner.  I helped.  We had pizza – a Papa Murphy’s.  I went to take it out of the oven, and they didn’t have any hot mitts.  They had dish towels and this old woven, flimsy thingy.  I said, “Where are your hot mitts?”  They looked at me like I was crazy.  I thought they were crazy…how could somebody not have hot mitts?!  Anyway, I did the best I could with their dish towels…but it’s amazing I didn’t burn myself.  Needless to say, I’m getting them hot mitts for Christmas.  So, the moral of the story is if you spend a little bit of time with a friend, you will discover something they need…or at least YOU think they need.  Get them that.  Even if they don’t think they need it, they will be flattered you were paying attention!
