Dec. 20 – Stockings aren’t just for kids!

The STOCKING was always my favorite part of Christmas.  Every family has their tradition with stockings.  I have one friend who always puts a mango in the toe.  She told me why.  I forgot.  My mother-in-law always filled my stocking (YES, I even got one as an adult) with useful/practical things: Chapstick, doggie poopy bags, those little mini boxes of Sun-Maid Raisins.  So, I was thinking a themed stocking might be fun – like the Movies: a movie gift-certificate, $ for snacks, tissues (because what if they choose something sad…or something so funny it makes them cry).  Another theme might be Beverages.  There are all sorts of electrolyte packets, tea bags, hot cocoa pouches, instant coffee packets, a thermos or water bottle, fun cocktail napkins, silly straws…the list is endless.  Another theme might be reading (or listening) – an Audible GC, AirPods, a magazine subscription, tissues (again), bookmarks, an Itty Bitty Booklight.  Use your imagination!  Shopping for little 'cutes' (Suse) is fun!
