It takes too much "SPIT" to explain...

It takes too much “SPIT” to explain.  Something my mom used to say.  I didn’t get it when I was seven, but now it’s hit - it's trying so hard to be understood that you just run dry - not because it’s not important, but because it’s exhausting (to keep talking/trying). Although now I’m in that flipped space: needing the explanations, the patience, the effort from others. It’s hard wanting to be understood and wanting to understand at the same time!
