Dec. 3 - Shop Local!

I know.  I know.  It’s so time consuming, but it can also be fun, and it’s SO MEANINGFUL to the shopkeeper.  Once upon a time I had a downtown business, and when people bought a gift certificate, it meant so much to me.  I have some favorites where I live.  There’s a CHEESE store, a TOY shoppe, an OLIVE OIL store, an ANTIQUE mall, and a MOVIE THEATRE.  And don’t forget the restaurants, the clothing stores, and other unique stores – like your local hardware store and yoga studio. You could create a theme gift.  Get some sort of container (or stuffed animal - Sasquatch) and put all the gift cards in that container (or with that stuffed animal). You could get gift cards to the local book store, the local flower/plant store, and the donut store. Okay, I guess those things don’t have anything in common.  They are just things I want. 😊
