Dec. 2 - TIME is worth way more than money!

Some of the most memorable gifts are the gifts of time!  Sometimes money is tight, but you have the time.  Once I gave my mom the gift of cleaning her oven.  I mean, who wants to clean their oven?  Also, I wanted my mom to stop obsessing about her dirty oven!  In addition, we’ve all been told NOT to use the self-cleaning feature (too hot!)…so I gave my mom a card, and inside I wrote… “Your gift is me cleaning your oven.”  It was a gross job!  (Side note…if you pay somebody to clean your oven, it’s worth every penny they charge!) Other ideas - rake leaves, babysit, walk a dog, clean the car…I could go on and on.  Oh, and if anybody cleans ovens for a living, let me know because I’m afraid my mom will read this, and think “since you brought it up – my oven needs cleaned again!”
